Is it safe to wash a rag used with Clorox Bleach with my other clothes?

When I clean, I use Clorox Bleach Clean-Up along with a rag (instead of paper towels). Can I put that rag in the washer with my other clothes/towels or will it ruin them?Is it safe to wash a rag used with Clorox Bleach with my other clothes?
I rinse out my rags really good. Let them air dry. Then wash them with my dish towels and rags, which I use bleach with anyway. Is it safe to wash a rag used with Clorox Bleach with my other clothes?
It can possibly ruin dark clothes, jeans and reds........It would be fine to put in with other cleaning towels and can actually refresh bath towels..........My advise- put it in a load with nothing you find very important and Happy Cleaning!
NO please don't. It will possibly ruin any colors. I do the same but I throw mine in with whites or towels that I do not care about.
rinse it out really well in the sink first

  • Blue dye ran from a pair of pants during the wash, and left blotchy stains all over my other clothes. Help?

The clothes were washed in cold water. The blue dye ran from a pair of cotton pants, and stained the rest of my clothes, most of which were light in colour. I've washed them a second time, minus the pants, with extra liquid soap and bleach, with no change.Blue dye ran from a pair of pants during the wash, and left blotchy stains all over my other clothes. Help?
Do not put the stained items into the dryer( it will permanently set the dye) . Get a bottle of Rit Dye remover, it may strip more of the base color of the garment, but it is better than no hope. Follow the directions on the bottle or package. It come in liquid and a powder.

Most large grocery stores have it , or Walmart.Blue dye ran from a pair of pants during the wash, and left blotchy stains all over my other clothes. Help?
What you need is a resident dye stripper. You can find it at most grocery stores near the chlorine and other wash products. You just soak your clothes in it and it removes dye that is not mordant set. You might inquire about resident dye stripper at your dry cleaners.
You can buy a specific product for dye that has run into other clothes. I cant remember the correct name of it, but it is made by a brand called Dylon. I know there are other brands that make a similar product also. It removes the dye that has run.

What is the best way (without washing) to remove B.O. from clothing?

I don't have access to a washer right now (no $ for machine and no washer in the shelter). How can i get the BO out of my clothes? What is the best way (without washing) to remove B.O. from clothing?
Spraying dirty underarms on clothing with anything will only maginfy the odor! The only remedy for B.O. in fabric is washing the clothing in soap, detergent. You can pick up cans to get enough money to buy a bottle of laundry detergent. Also I would bathe more often. Soap is cheap and there are sinks with running water everywhere. Wash up each day and use deodorant. What is the best way (without washing) to remove B.O. from clothing?
Hand wash in your tub even with shmpoo if you don't have detergeant and then hang them in the sun to dry and let the sun kill any bacteria.
Buy a small laundry detergent at a dollar store (they are everywhere now) and a small box of baking soda You will only spend about $2 and change.

Mix a little bit of the baking soda (about a teasponfull) and a little bit of the detergent, place in a plastic pail with enough water to cover your clothing item.

Leave overnight, next day rinse your clothing with clean water, wring out and air dry. The baking soda is the one that takes takes out the smell. Best of luck!
Take a shower or bath with your clothes on. Use shampoo and soap. Hang outside to dry.
Get a cheap bottle of liquid detergent and hand wash and hang dry. REally no other way to get rid of it. Also, get Arm %26amp; Hammer deodorant. This is the best one I have ever tried. I worked in a kitchen in the summers that got up to 120 degrees, and I NEVER smelled like BO.
Spray them with some body spray and hang out side to air out. Good luck! :)
Best would be a coin laundry. If thats not an option handwash using any detergent available. If you cant do that either then a spray like Fabreeze (?) might work. You need something that will kill bacteria rather than just overpower the smell.
    You could try some Febreze.
    febreeze
there has to be a wal-mart around (they are EVERYWHERE)-use their bathroom. Some people have used the toilet as a washer, I know it sounds ';gross'; but if it's cleaned and the water is clean-no problem. Use the hand soap that's in there. You can use the sink to wash up too.

Fox urine is what deer hunters use- it kills the worst B.O but then you'll have a different kind of problem.

Is it okay to put oxiclean stain remover on spots on my clothes and then wait a whole day to wash them ?

Its not a stain stick, its what you put on the spots right before you wash them !Is it okay to put oxiclean stain remover on spots on my clothes and then wait a whole day to wash them ?
if you're talking about the powder, make sure you thoroughly dissolve it in very hot water, or the granules can ';burn'; holes in your clothes. then it's ok to let it soak for a day. if it's a liquid, you can wait until laundry day after treating. Is it okay to put oxiclean stain remover on spots on my clothes and then wait a whole day to wash them ?
    follow the directions,it works well

How do you wash bed sheets, towels and clothes?

I need kind of a guide for washing bedsheets, towels and clothes...

I just had a party without mum knowing and i neally pulled it off but she seen all the dirty washing in the washing basket so i need help on how much washing powder to put in there, what colours go with what etc etc...

ThanksHow do you wash bed sheets, towels and clothes?
May not help, but here's how I do it...

Sheets and pillow cases are washed cold/cold on the high capacity setting with regular detergant and oxy-clean. in the dryer, two sheets of bounce for extra comfyness.

Comforter, wash on delicate with half the detergant for an oversized load, and cold/cold (all my bedding is black)

As far as cloths, if they're colors that have been washed at least three times, pretty safe bet they won't bleed, I wash them warm/warm with everything else, a second of liquid arm and hammer, then two dryer sheets. If it's newer colored cloths... just don't wash them with whites. If you like yellow (I do) and you have enough yellow for at least half a load, wash yellow on it's own, warm warm untill you've done a couple of washes.

For women with lacy crap, you don't want to wash anything silk or delicate with jeans, as the jeans will destroy the lacy crap because it's corse enough to be like sadpaper to that stuff... guys need not worry, t-shirts and no-iron button down shirts are safe (unless you loose a button). When it comes to losing buttons, there's no science to sewing one back on... no one will knotice your pattern vice the factory, unless they really have no life, and who really cares about their attention to fasion anyway, the rest of us are out for sucess, and in the end, we'll more than likely make more moolah than the fashion nuts anyway.

If it's wool... dry clean.. wool is tricky because it's a animal fiber and animals have to be tipped and tackled with care... you just can't go all willy nilly with wool, so fail safe and dry clean. If you're a smoker, or around smokers, invest in some ceder hangers and blocks, and they'll help to abosorb smells (amazingly) and it will cut your dry cleaning bill in half. If you do find something wool to be a bit big, but you still want to wear it, run it through the washing machine, and dryer... it will shrink (had to do that with my military uniforms).

    Hope that helped a bit.

How do you wash bed sheets, towels and clothes?
Add about a cup of white distilled vinegar to each load (along with the soap %26amp; clothes). The vinegar will act as a water softener and will also help to disolve and body fluids/oils so no stains get set when you dry them.

Also - don't put anything in the dryer that still has a stain on it - just put it back in the washer and run it through until the stain is gone.
Put the towels with just towels and the sheets with only sheet

    Wash in whites- any light

Darks- black or dark blues etc

    And colours

Anything that is really colourful will need to be hand washed seperately

And on the container of the washing powder it will tell u how much to put in
Light colors with light, dark with dark. Read the labels on everything to know the water temperature. Almost everything has washing instructions attached. Read the instructions on the laundry detergent to know how much to put in the washer.
Whites get washed in hot water, a little bleach and a cap full of detergent. Towels and such can get washed in warm water with a cap full of detergent. Dark colors like jeans or colored T shirts I wash in cold, with a cap of detergent.

    Hope this helps!
Good luck getting away with it since a mother always know when something is up.

What happened at your party that you need to wash the sheets and towels?
Just make sure you put colors with colors. Ex. Whites with whites... colors with colors. To be safe just wash them in cold water in a large load if there is a lot of laundry.

Put a cap full of detergent with it.
Put them in a washing machine. Make sure you put the dark colored things together, and the lighter colored things together as well.
put all colours together unless new. put whites with whites 1 cup of powder in before you put clothes in.. towels with towels but not to many in a load or your washing machine will stress coz of the weight and sheets with sheets
    WASHING MACHINE
first put sheets in all together with one scoop put it on the water save setting

    then dryer

put all towls together do the same then dry them all fold them and put them back
ok woman separate colored from uncolored then wash colored with the same color it is!!!!!!!!
Well usually there's water involved you should ask a wise man who's answering powers exceeds my own
    In the washing machine
okayy so separate the whites from the darks and

then wash on cotton sturdy..with bleach for whites

    lol...wow im only 16 and i kno..

    maybe u wanna try google.
throw them in the washer and then the dryer
    With your hands?
    hope these links help!
    lol
i did 2 bids, jail aint nothin to me

Colour has run in my wash. Is there anyway to restore my clothes to thier original colour?

Something red or pink ran in my washing yesterday. I have some underwear and a couple of tops that are now pink, they were once white. Is there anyway or getting the red/pink dye out or are they ruined? They all have other colours on them so I assume I can't bleach them.Colour has run in my wash. Is there anyway to restore my clothes to thier original colour?
Everything that is white can be bleached even though there may be some other colors on them as long as you do not use too much bleach. Follow directions on the bleach bottle for the size of the wash load. Use cold water and bleach. Do not put the clothes in the washer until these have mixed so you don't get holes in your clothes. Once the washer has filled to where you need it, let it start to mix the bleach and water together then add the clothes and let them sit for about a half hour then finish running the wash cycle. Hopefully the colors will come out, if not do it again, but do not dry the clothes in the dryer before bleaching them the second time as that will set the color even more. You can also add some white vinegar to the water, about a cup.

Good Luck.Colour has run in my wash. Is there anyway to restore my clothes to thier original colour?
I can't remember the full name, but it is called Oxy something, I hear it works
yes its called Rescue you can get it at any supermarket you can find it on the wash powder section.
You can use bleach if you use a very mild concentration, approx. 1/4 cup per large load.
IF THEY ARE WHITE JUST USE A CUP OF CLOROX IN A FULL TUB WASHER AND LET THE SOAK. THEN WASH WITH TIDE.
they have things in your supermarket called keep it white they get all the crap out of your clothes
You can by stuff from the supermarket, but you have to use it straight away before the clothes dry or it won't work as the colour will have set.
There is also a product called the shout stain catcher, avail. at any store. You can also use it any time you wash to prevent colors from transferring.

What is ';Laundry Wash in Watery Solution'; on clothes care lable?

It means to use Woolite in a sink or tub. If you don't know what that is, it comes in a blue and white shampoo sized bottle and is sold next to the laundry soap. It's been awhile sinced I've used it, but I think you just used a capful or two.
