Help!!!! My roommate washed a load of my white clothes, poured tons of bleach directly on them.?

my sports bras lost most of the elasticity. And afew things are now yellow! Isn't there a way I can get them to ';snap'; back to the original snug fit???Help!!!! My roommate washed a load of my white clothes, poured tons of bleach directly on them.?
Sorry! Bleach eats elastic. You will need to get new ones. The yellowing may fade out with time but there is no quick fix. You could try re washing them without anything but water, use the full wash and rinse cycle to see if that helps.Help!!!! No dearie - sorry. They are goners in the elasticity dept.
Yikes a profile picture shows a guy and wants to know about bras??????
Nope, Get El Stupo' who washed your stuff to replace them. ;(
You can make your roommate buy you new clothes =)
not really
Gone. It's better to replace the items.

You could wash the stuff and add a gallon of white vinegar to the wash water - nothing else - but it won't put the elasticity back. It only will help remove the chlorine residue. Then you have to wash it all again with detergent to remove the vinegar smell.
The sad answer is that bleach changes the fibers so if you get bleach on a red shirt for example, the fabric has changed and you can never get that spot out EVER.

The same will go for elastics, too, unfortunately.
SORRY BUT NO BLEACH IS THE #1 KILLER OF RUBBER AND COTTON LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE YOU NOW GET TO GO SHOPPING AND BUY NEW.
