Can a newborn baby's clothes be washed with adult clothes?

i have bought all free and clear detergent to wash my baby's clothes. i was wondering if i could wash our clothes together or should i wash them seperate. Can a newborn baby's clothes be washed with adult clothes?
It shouldn't matter whether you wash baby's clothes apart or with other people's laundry, provided the following are true:

1) You are using a detergent that is free of perfumes, dye's and chemicals.

2) The clothing being washed with your baby's clothing is not contaminated by chemicals, fiberglass particles, solvents, heavy cleaning agents, tobacco residue (ashes, tobacco leaf itself, pipe tobacco etc), or excessive amounts of synthetic lose fibers.

3) That the wash cycle is always hot or warm to kill off any bacteria, and a secondary rinse cycle is recommended if the load is large. Can a newborn baby's clothes be washed with adult clothes?
I wash mine and my babys together. But dont wash my husbands with his. He gets very dirty, especially at work. As long as its not really soiled, I wash them together. Im a stay at home Mom, so I dont get dirty, except full of spit up!! Which is his, so it dont matter!!
I washed our babies clothes with ours and we used the All free and clear too as my honey has allergies and needs a sensitive soap, perfect for babies!!!!!
I did it, why create more laundry.
yes as long as you use a free and clear or natural laundry detergent.
I never did, always did the baby's stuff separate. You don't know what germs are crawling around in the other laundry.
No, there skin is alot more sensitive than ours. Dreft is what to use, it is about $9 at Target which is pricey, but Target sells an off brand next to the dreftthat's only $5.50. Hope this is helpful :)
Yeah as long as you use dreft or some kind of baby soap.
Sure u can..unless u can't afford the extra costs. I have my own washer %26amp; dryer. Each week I have 2 whites, 1 dark, 1 baby clothes, 1 sheets %26amp; towels and one blanket load and my hydro bill for all this is a mere $35 a month
I always washed our babies clothes in with the regular laundry. The only problem I had was their little shirts were so much smaller than a regular persons shirt, that I sometimes found them up sleeves or inside other pieces of clothing.
No; adults and older kids clothes in the laundry carry germs that newborn babies shouldn't be exposed to;their skin is too sensitive and our detergents are too harsh;you can do it but I seriously wouldn't recommend it; I had four kids and for each of their newborn clothes I used Ivory snow; It's pure and clean and recommended for newborns; Imagine everyone surprise when my newborns never had rashes or skin bumps;and their clothes was always white and fluffy
Yeah as long as there free and clear like no dyes
i didnt because their skin is to sensitive so it is best to use baby detergent like Dreft or whatever kind you wanna choose
Yeah as long as there free and clear like no dyes or bleach or any of that...i did and my baby is fine!
yep its fine. as long as the detergent is free of scents and clear!
We wash ours together and its fine , as long as your not washing it with things that may have been in contact with harmful chemicals etc then its completly fine i think its sort of a older generation thing to think that you cant i know with my new born son my mum was horrified that i was washing them toegther and well he is now a very happy healthy 3 year old with clean clothes
As others have said, it's fine. Just make sure that whatever you use is Dreft, or another dye - free, hypoallergenic brand.
dont mix the clothes. its safer for a baby to have their clothes washed separetly with a softer detergent so that their skin does not get irritated. to wash their clothes with adult clothes wait until they are minimum 3 or 4
I always washed my son's clothes with mine. He's perfectly fine- so obviously washing them together is no problem!
I DON'T DO IT
