Help with washing clothes?

im new to this so yeahh i just wanted to know..

when i put detergent in (before i turn on the washer) it sinks into these holes that are in my machine.. i think thats were the water gets drained?

anyway yeah.. is that detergent going to waste or what?

and some tips with washing would be great :DHelp with washing clothes?
The soap is not going to waste because the drain on the machine is closed. First hint I can give you about laundry is - you never use powder detergents. Your plumber will tell you that in time they will build up in your pipes. (same for you dishwasher). The number one detergent is Tide. I use Tide with Bleach Alternative. You don't have to buy bleach for colored clothes. Sort your clothes into 3 piles. Darks (jeans), White cottons (T-shirts, socks, towels) and light colors and mixed colors (like a shirt with pictures on it). Use warm water and cold rinse setting on your machine. Hot water for white cottons and sheets. If you have any stains on anything now is the time to use a prestain cleaner. I use Zout. I think it is the best. Hope this helps. Remember your laundry isn't done until it is put away.Help with washing clothes?
you should first set your washer on whatever kind of clothing you want to do most of the time it would be ';warm water'; then when the the water starts poring in, you can add the detergent and then you can pu your clothes in. Don't forget to separate whites from colour.

I hope this helps.

p.s you will not waste any detergent if the water starts running into the washer.
It would be best to add while the water is filling so it can break it down.

If you use powder it requires warm water. So easy trick is to have container with hot water ready add powder in container mix with a stick and should be ready. If your washing color which is typically cold water setting Add to big cups of HOT WATER from facuet.

1/2 cup to 1 cup is all that is need for your wash load.
uhm by detergent im thinking the Powder Soap?

Yea u fill the tank up with water..put the soap in

-Put clothes in

-Adjust Water tempature before tho(read T-Shirt Tags tells u what requirements for that clothing)

uh becareful when using Hot-Water cuz u shrink ur clothes.

Dont leave it in dryer for too long or it will shrink.

NEVER mix darks with lights(white).

Bleach sometimes turns ur white clothes yellowish so if theres no stains on ur shirt just use regular warm water.

and yea bout it, when it emptys out the first load of watter and refills, put in the fabric softner liquid and ur preety much done.
I'll be leaving off to college soon and will be independent so I'm wondering the same thing, lol. We fail.
