Should one wash newly bought clothes?

Absolutely, you have no idea who tried that item on before you bought it. Sometimes people buy things and bring them back... you never know. Even if no one tried it on, allergens can still be on the item. It's always best to wash them according to the tag instructions. Remember, anything with embroidery will shrink around the design so this is when you lay it out flat to dry on a towel.Should one wash newly bought clothes?
I don't usually, to be perfectly honest.

There are concerns tho.

You don't know who was trying them on before you, could be someone with perfume on, or animal hair that you may be allergic too.

They may have gotten their makeup on it.

They may be stinky and don't shower often enough, or maybe they don't wear underpants.

You never know.Should one wash newly bought clothes?
Yes - I do it because of the chemical-y smell on the clothes and also, who knows who might have tried the items on before me? Wouldn't want their scent or germs or make-up on my skin when I was wearing the clothes.
Yes. Especially if bought for children. Some starches and other components used to present new clothes could cause allergies in children. Cheers .
definitely yes!!!!

the clothes are made in different countries all over the world. They sit in boxes and go through many hands and exchanges before we purchase them for ourselves. there might be parasite on the clothe!!!!
