Washed Clothes Smell Moldy Please Help!!?

I wash my clothes in Tide Liquid detergent and Fabric Softener. and then when I put them in the dryer I but Dryer Sheets.

Yet My clothes smell nasty and Moldy. They smelled better Before washing.

What should I do to make them smell better? Would Powder Detergent work better? Washed Clothes Smell Moldy Please Help!!?
Might you be going off while they're washing and letting them sit too long between washing and drying? That has happened to us a few times and that's the only time I have ever had freshly washed clothes come out smelling moldy. If you leave them in the washer overnight they will almost certainly have a moldy smell after drying. The dryer cannot get rid of the smell, only washing again and drying them within a reasonable time period will rid you of the problem.Washed Clothes Smell Moldy Please Help!!?
I doubt powder will help, I would say it is the fabric softener in the tide. If you have already dried them there is not much you can do about it now unless you run them through the wash again without using the tide. If you haven't dried them I would run them through the rinse cycle again and put couple tablespoons of baking soda in the water (heaping for large loads) let it mix up good in the water and add the clothes. Baking soda removes odors so it should help the moldy smell in your clothes. They say lemon juice works also but I have never tried it so I wouldn't recommend it. Hanging them in the sunshine will help draw musty smells out of clothes also.
You need to make sure to take your clothes out of the washer and put them in the dryer right away. If they sit in the washer for too long and they're wet, they will start to get moldy. Wash them and dry them again, making sure to put them in the dryer immediately, and they should smell fine.
Unless you left the clothes in the washer too long before drying, you are probably having this problem....

if so the best thing you can do is return your washer set if it's under a year old.I did. These new HE machines are nothing but trouble.
I agree with the other ones..leaving clothes in the washer at a longer period will make the clothes smell. If, thats not the case..perhaps you oughta try adding baking soda and vinegar to your clothes while in the washer. Good luck!
after they are finnished being washed, you have to right away put them in the dryer!! dont forget of let them sit in the washer, they will start to get like that moldy smell.
USE 1/4 TO 1/2 CUP OF SOME LEMON FRAGRET HOSPITAL GRADE DISINFECTANT, TYPE YOU WOULD USE TO DISINFECT FLOOR OR PORSLELIN BENCH TOPS
try washing in Mule Team Borax detergent.
once they are washed, dry them immediately. if they r left in the wet state fr too long, they smell funny!
