I accidently put some new dark red towels with white clothes in my washing machine and now every cloth is PINK

The towels were new, never washed before and i accidently put them with light %26amp; white colored clothes in Washing Machine for about an hour with warm water %26amp; detergent.

Now they have all become pink in color.....!!! Can I do something to lighten them or make them near to normal again?

Is there any product awailable in Indian market? Any home remedies? Please help me...I accidently put some new dark red towels with white clothes in my washing machine and now every cloth is PINK
Non-Bleach Methods

* Soak the fabric in hot water infused with green tea. Remove the garment, spread salt on the stain, let stand a while, and then launder normally.

* Rewash the item, adding about 1/4 cup of borax to the wash water.

* Rit (and perhaps other companies) produces a color remover you may use on stained white clothes. Follow the directions on the box. Be certain that you don鈥檛 use the solution around your washer or dryer, as the solution is strong enough to mar the finish. That being the case, you may also want to invest in a sturdy pair of rubber gloves and wear old clothes while you鈥檙e treating your garments.

Good Luck!!I accidently put some new dark red towels with white clothes in my washing machine and now every cloth is PINK
As far as i know once colours will get mixed there is no solution to bring that back to original one.. better to buy new one
Prevention is better than cure .Do some hand wash with Excel surf .Expect better result .
the chemist and supermarket have a sachet called ';run away';. i did the same thing with a white t shirt. i used ';run away'; and the t shirt is like new.
First be absolutely certain that you only have all the discolored whites to put into the washer because you will have to rewash them. If there are quite a few pieces of clothing try to separate them to where when you set the washer on heavy load the water will completely cover the clothes. Use as hot of water that the machine can make. Pour a 1lb box of Arm %26amp; Hammer baking soda into the water while it's still hot and stir it in well. Add 录 cup of white vinegar and stir in well. Add 录 cup of mild dish detergent and let the clothes soak for about 陆 hour before starting the washer. Wash on Medium or Normal cycle. If this is not successful repeat the steps 1 to 3 times more but in most cases the first repeat will remove the dye sometimes the first rewashing will work. Good Luck!!
max em with clorox
all your cotton things can be bleached and add some baking soda to the water.. this should get your cotton back to normal... check all the labels to see which items can be bleached and follow washing instructions... white vinegar and with baking soda will help too but do this in a well ventilated area...
Only one solution. Buy a good brand fabric bleach and bleach the whites. You may have to repeat a few times. Use fabric conditioner also to counter the harsh effects of bleaching.

Remember the golden rule in India. No matter how expensive the fabric, all dark colours such as maroon, magenta, turquoise, orange, mustard, red etc tend to run, no matter what the shopkeeper may promise. So its always better to first soak these fabrics separately to find out !

Good luck.
don't worry about it, relax. everything Will be OK
How does that happen? I mean NEW RED towels with WHITES ? I can totally see a red sock creeping into the whites and going unoticed but, brand new red towels.. What were you doing laundry with the lights off !

I don't know much about the indian market but, RIT makes a color remover you might be able to find it near you or online.... Then I would stay away from the washer in the future...

Good luck
